About Us

Tallahassee Ultimate, Inc. (TU) is a 501(c)4 non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the sport of Ultimate (a.k.a. Ultimate Frisbee®) in Tallahassee, Florida.

Tallahassee has a long history of Ultimate, including FSU college teams, club ultimate teams, and many opportunities for casual pick-up. When TU first launched in the Fall of 2008, however, there were very few formal outlets for average city residents or visitors who were not involved in college or club teams.

TU has changed that. Our main goal has been to create opportunities for EVERYBODY, including the FSUltimate club, the Jiggly Puffs, the Navigators, the Wackers, and other groups and individuals to come together for some great ultimate play. We offer league play 3 seasons per year (Fall, Spring, and Summer) which is open to men and women of all ages. Our league series has grown from about 60 players in the Fall of 2008 to over 120 in the Summer of 2010. We are now also looking to high schools and local youth in hopes that the sport we love will continue to thrive in the future.

We would always appreciate any help that is passed our way, including business sponsors, volunteers, or just new members! We hope you will join us in chasing some plastic around the field, having a blast, and sneakily getting some great exercise too!
